Description	Eleven trays of microscope slides in wood box with hinged lid. Six slides to a tray, in compartments, with paper labelled inside lid with price list for 'Microscopic cabinets, slides & circles'. Sold by Young J Portland, West Nicolson Street, Edinburgh. The slides are of botanical specimens, some ivory slips of 'circles', insect parts, some stone, wood and paper specimens, mostly hand-lettered, some insects are labelled 'Chrishall, Essex, 1859' other north Essex sites. Front of box folds down.
